Tinubu Commissions Thirty 100-passenger Innoson CNG-powered Hybrid Buses

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday commissioned thirty (30) Innoson-branded Hybrid Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) powered buses at the State House, Abuja, to cushion the effects of transportation on Nigerians.
Twenty of the buses were donated by Depots and Petroleum Products Marketers Association of Nigeria (DAPPMAN), while NNPC Ltd, through its Corporate Social Responsibility arm, NNPC Foundation, donated 10.
Speaking at the commissioning of the CNG Hybrid Buses, the President said :
“I noted the recent yearnings of many ordinary Nigerians on transportation. I thank INNOSON Motors and others we have been committed to change this narrative in this country.
Drunk Driving : LASG Seizes Alcoholic Drinks Worth ₦1M From Motor Garages To Reduce Accidents

The Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC), popularly known as KAI, impounded alcoholic drinks worth ₦1 million during a raid on Olupese Terminal Park and Oshodi-Bolade Garages on Tuesday August 13th.
The move is part of efforts undertaken by the State Government to mitigate the trend of alcohol consumption by commercial drivers across different parks and garages in the State as discovered to be a primary trigger for motor accidents.
Underscoring the need for commercial drivers to maintain the perfect state of mind, KAI said that alcohol inhibits reasoning and leaves these drivers susceptible to wrong suggestions when transiting passengers.
Hoodlums Attack BRT Bus, Rob Passengers As LASG Vows To Bring Perpetrators To Book

The Lagos State Government has condemned the recent attack on a BRT bus operated by the Lagos Bus Services Limited (LBSL), and vowed to bring the perpetrators of this crime to book.
Mr Idowu Oguntona, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LBSL, who made this known in a statement noted that the recent trend of hoodlums attacking its buses and passengers has become both alarming and unacceptable.
While assuring Lagosians that their safety remains LBSL’s top priority, LBSL boss said that security agencies are actively pursuing the perpetrators of this crime.
LASDRI Introduces Computer-Based Test (CBT) Into Drivers’ Recertification Exercise

In a move to tackle high levels of road traffic crashes occasioned by human error, the Lagos State Drivers’ Institute (LASDRI) has announced the introduction of Computer-Based Test (CBT) into their drivers’ recertification exercise.
General Manager of LASDRI, Mrs Tiamiyu Afusat, who stated this while featuring on a Radio Lagos Magazine Programme “Awaye” on Wednesday, explained that the initiative will ensure conformity with globally acceptable standards on driver training.
Tiamiyu said the introduction of CBT is also to complement existing efforts of the institute towards enhancing the standardisation of the driving profession which is expected to translate into producing a better crop of drivers with a great deal of knowledge of safe road use.
