Godwin Obaseki: Checkout The Amazing Reception He Gets From A Crowd As He Alights From An Aircraft (VIDEO)

Governor Godwin Obaseki has been at war with APC’S National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole. On Friday, he was disqualified by his party from contesting the APC governorship primary in Edo state. The disqualification was over issues relating to discrepancies in his academic credentials.
In a video that recently went viral, the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, is seen getting an overwhelming reception from a crowd of people in an Edo community. This happened as he disembarked from a Nigeria police helicopter.
Obaseki was visibly overwhelmed by the show of love. Watch the video.
Obaseki had since said he will not appeal the decision of the APC screening committee to disqualify him.
Meanwhile, there are reports that other political parties are already courting him. This is coming ahead of the governorship election in the state in September.
There have been speculations that Governor Obaseki would defect to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State.
Governor Godwin Obaseki was sworn in as the governor on 12 November 2016. Prior to then, he was the Chairman of the Edo State Economic and Strategy Team inaugurated by former Governor Adams Oshiomole in March 2009.

Obaseki is popularly referred to as the “Wake and See Governor.” Pundits say this is because he prefers working and delivering infrastructural projects without prior fanfare or needless rhetoric.
In that capacity, he pioneered a number of policy reforms that saw the state restructure its public finance, secure funding for infrastructure and improve the business environment to attract investment in power, agriculture and other critical sectors.
Obaseki was also instrumental in attracting the Edo-Azura power project, with support from World Bank to the state.
He has also contributed to the fight against human trafficking and illegal migration.
Obaseki holds post-graduate degrees in both Finance and International Business. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stock Brokers, Nigeria.
Obaseki served as an executive board member of several private companies including Afrinvest.
