Honda CR-V And Toyota C-HR Scored Five NCAP Stars For Safety
During the first Euro NCAP safety tests, the stars descended on Carland. Without exception, the Toyota C-HR, the Nio EL6, and the Honda CR-V returned home with the maximum possible score of five NCAP stars. The Honda CR-V even twice.
Safety Institute Euro NCAP is happy to destroy new models during its safety tests. The goal is to provide insight into how safe new models are for occupants and other road users. The results of the first ‘crash test session’ of 2024 are on the mat. Three new models certainly have nothing to be ashamed of.
The new Toyota C-HR, just like the Nio EL6 and the Honda CR-V, has achieved the maximum possible score of five NCAP stars. The C-HR scored 85 percent of the achievable points in the field of safety for adult occupants and 86 percent of the achievable points in the field of safety for children in the car. Pedestrian safety was rated at 86 percent of the points. The standard safety systems earned C-HR 79 percent of the achievable points in the ‘Safety Assist’ category.
The electric Nio EL6 scored successively 93 percent and 85 percent of the achievable points in terms of safety for adults and children in the car. Pedestrian safety was rated at 78 percent, and safety systems at 76 percent.
The new Honda CR-V has been tested in standard trim and with an optional, extensive package of safety systems. They both scored 85 percent of the achievable points under the heading safety for adult occupants’ and 86 percent in the area of safety for children in the car. The standard version scored successively 76 percent and 67 percent of the achievable points in the field of pedestrian safety and safety systems. The more fully equipped variant scored better here with 80 percent and 79 percent, respectively. Both performances earned five NCAP stars.
