JAC Chairman Present Maextro S800 Model To Huawei CEO To Celebrate Success Of Their ‘Maybach Rival’ In China
Huawei CEO receives Maextro S800 model from JAC Chairman to celebrate the success of their ‘Maybach Rival’ in China.
S800 is the first model and the flagship car of the Maextro luxury electric (EV) brand created by Huawei and JAC.
Deliveries of the S800 reached 2,145 units in November, outselling the S-Class and Panamera to become China’s top-selling $100k car.
The 10,000th Maextro S800 rolled the assembly on December 16th less than seven months after its market launch.


Earlier this month, JAC chairman Xiang Xingchu presented a Maextro S800 model to Huawei CEO Ren Zhengfei to celebrate their partnership as well as the success of the Mercedes-Maybach rival in China.
The S800 is the first model and the flagship car of the Maextro luxury electric (EV) brand created by Chinese tech giant, Huawei Technologies Co., and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC).

Priced between 708k–1.02 million yuan ($101,300–$145,600), deliveries of the S800 reached 2,145 units in November, outselling the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Porsche Panamera to become China’s top-selling $100k car.
Deliveries of the high-end sedan started in August 2025. Cumulative deliveries from August to end of December 2025 reached 11,102 units, including 4,025 deliveries in December, according to CarNewsChina.



Since its market launch, the S800 has topped sales in China’s $100k+ segment – “Maextro S800 is the first time that a Chinese brand has managed to get a foothold in the 1 million yuan ultra-luxury segment,” Richard Yu, chairman of Huawei’s consumer business group, told state broadcaster CCTV.
The 10,000th Maextro S800 rolled the assembly on December 16th less than seven months after its market launch. The milestone car was handed over to Chinese-born Singaporean martial artist and film actor, Jet Li.
