Land Rover 2-person Pop-up Tent Turns The Roof Of The Latest Defender SUV Into A Mini Room
You can now sleep overnight atop your Land Rover Defender SUV with this £3,500 (₦1.7 million) pop-up 2-person tent.
It comes with ladder, pillows, an interior LED light and a stowage net, and will sleep two adults on a full-size luxury cotton mattress.
Land Rover and Autohome have developed a 2-person pop-up tent that turns the roof of the latest Defender SUV into a mini room.
The new add-on turns the all-new rugged, go-anywhere, Defender SUV into a room where you can sleep overnight wherever you plan to take it.
According to Land Rover, “the roof tent will enable Defender drivers to continue their adventure above and beyond their journey; it’s perfect for the modern-day explorer.”
The tent can be erected single-handedly in seconds by unclipping the fastening at the rear to allow the gas struts to pop the structure out.
When erected, it measures 2.3 metres long, 1.3 metres wide and 1.5 metres high.
It can sleep two adults on a full-size luxury cotton mattress; and comes with pillows, an interior LED light and a stowage net.
The bespoke roof tent for the new Defender 110 model can be accessed from either side of the vehicle.
It comes with an extendable aluminium access ladder that also stores in the roof box when on the move.
When the luxury tent is not in use, it collapses into this neat shell made out of lightweight fibreglass material.
However, this roof tent isn’t cheap at all. Each of these tent cost of £3,500 — which is enough to buy “233” units of the two-man tent that cost as little as £15.
The asking price, which amounts to ₦1.7 million in Naira, excludes your spending cost if you importing it to Nigeria.
The tent is one of over 170 optional features that are available to tune up the SUV. Other optional features includes the Explorer Pack and the Integrated Air Compressor.
