Land Rover Unleashes Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate Edition (Photos)
With a new Range Rover Sport coming next year, Land Rover decided to send forth the current model in grand style by launching a special bespoke SVR Ultimate Edition by SVO.
The new model is available in two hand-finished reflective colours that feature “spectacular glass flake technology for an intense star-like sparkle”. These are Gloss Maya Blue and Gloss Marl Grey, or you can opt for something more restrained in Satin-finished Ligurian Black. Whichever paint option you decide on, Fuji White details are seen in the side fender vents and on the edges of the Gloss Black knurled Range Rover badging on both the tailgate and vented carbon fibre hood. The wheels are a forged alloy design measuring 22 inches in diameter.
For the interior, the Ultimate Edition brings custom treadplates and black anodized metal shifter paddles. The final touch is a pair of chrome-finished badges mounted to the B-pillars and bearing the SVO logo and a “Bespoke – Made In England” script. Customers can spec leather in their colour of choice.
There aren’t any changes underneath the hood, meaning the Range Rover Sport Ultimate sticks to the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine pumping out 575 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. The Luxo barge sprints 60 mph / 96 km/h in 4.3 seconds (62 mph / 100 km/h takes 4.5 seconds) and maxes out at 176 mph (283 km/h).
The Range Rover Sport SVR Ultimate Edition will debut at the Salon Privé on the grounds of Blenheim Palace next month. The “Ultimate” can be read as top of the line or last in line; when the next-gen Range Rover arrives.
