North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un ditches his Mercedes-Maybachs for Russian-made Aurus Limousine he got from Vladimir Putin.

Both leaders also met in China last week, where Kim offered Putin a ride in the same black armored limo he got from the Russian leader.

Putin gifted Kim Aurus Senat L700 last year because the North Korean leader liked it when he visited Russia in September 2023.

It seems North Korea’s Kim Jong-un has ditched his beloved Mercedes-Maybach limousines for the time being for the Russian-made Aurus Senat L700 limousine that Vladimir Putin gifted him two years ago.

Since the Aurus Senat L700 – a car used by Putin as official vehicle – got delivered to the North Korean leader in February 2024, the North Korean has been seen using the Russian-made limousine for official engagements.

Both leaders also met in China last year during the country’ summit and military parade, where Kim offered Putin a ride in the same black armored limousine he got from the Russian leader.

It will be recalled that Putin gifted Kim Jong Un a luxury Aurus Senat L700 limousine in 2024 because the North Korean leader liked the Russian-made luxury car when he visited the country in September 2023.

“When the head of the DPRK (North Korea) was at the Vostochny cosmodrome, he looked at this car, Putin showed it to him personally, and like many people, Kim liked this car,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, said then, while confirming the gift.

“So this decision was made,” Peskov said, adding that “North Korea is our neighbour, our close neighbour, and we intend, and will continue, to develop our relations with all neighbours, including North Korea.”

Kim’s collection of premium rides already includes a Rolls-Royce Phantom 8, a Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX 600, a Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600, a Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard and a Maybach 62 S limousine with a toilet.
