Ogun State-owned Gateway Agro-Cargo Airport Records Maiden Commercial Flight
Ogun State-owned Gateway Agro-Cargo international Airport witnessed its maiden commercial flight on Thursday.
Dapo Abiodun noted that the Agro Cargo airport marked the actualisation of a dream by former Governor Gbenga Daniel.
Governor Abiodun added that the Agro Cargo airport will provide a conducive atmosphere for industries.
Vice President Osinbajo, Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika lauds Governor Abiodun’s administration.


The Ogun State-owned Gateway Agro-Cargo Airport, located along Iperu-lishan road in Ikenne Local Government Area of the state, witnessed its maiden commercial flight on Thursday February 23rd.
Speaking at the event, the Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun noted that the Ogun State International Agro Cargo airport marked the actualisation of a dream by former Governor Gbenga Daniel.

He added that the development of the airport is in alignment of his administration’s desire to provide a conducive atmosphere for industries to not only berth in the state, but to record success.
The governor also revealed that his administration is also currently pursuing the commencement of a dry port in Kajola in Ogun Central Senatorial district of the state.

Governor Abiodun said :
“Another complementary infrastructure transportation project currently being pursued is the development of the dry port at Kajola in Ogun Central.
“This dry port will be located on the Lagos-Ibadan rail line in the Kajola free trade zone, the free trade zone that was also established by Otunba Gbenga Daniel.


“We have also commenced the process of the construction of the Olokola Port, this will go a long way into easing the port congestion and make Apapa Port more efficient.
Present at the ceremony were Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika and former governor of Ogun State Gbenga Daniel, who lauds the Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration.
