Owner reversing his rare Bugatti Divo Hypercar worth $5.8 Million hit a Mercedes-Benz CLS.
Fortunately, no damage was done on the parked Mercedes, as the impact was very mild.
Only the current owners of the Bugatti Chiron were eligible to buy the limited-edition Divo.
Despite starting at twice the price of Chiron, all 40 Divo hypercars were sold out even before launch.
The limited-production Bugatti Divo hypercar, named after a French and Bugatti racing driver, Albert Divo, is one of several variants of the Chiron.
With a planned examples of just 40, and with each starting at $5.8 million, one needs to be careful while driving the Divo on public roads.
Despite the staggering price of this rare hypercar, one owner has somehow managed to hit a parked Mercedes-Benz CLS with the rear bumper while reversing the limited-production hypercar.
The incident, which was caught on tape, reportedly happened outside the Westin Paris – Vendôme hotel in Paris in front of a crowd of people.
Fortunately, no damage was done on the parked Mercedes, judging by the reaction of a man, who is likely the hotel employee. The man later proceeded in helping the Bugatti Divo driver to safely park his hypercar.
Only the current owners a Bugatti Chiron were eligible to buy the Divo, and despite starting at twice the price of Chiron, all 40 Hypercars were sold out even before launch.
Bugatti President says
“The feedback from our customers was overwhelming”
“We showed the Divo to a small group of selected Chiron customers. All 40 cars were sold immediately—this was fantastic confirmation for the Bugatti team which had put so much dedication and passion into the project”
The Chiron-based Bugatti Divo uses the infamous 8-litre quad-turbo W16 engine that makes 1479 bhp of max power.
Its top speed is limited to 236 mph (compared to Chiron’s 261 mph) and it will accelerate from zero to 62mph in just 2.4 seconds.
