Porsche Taycan: The New Generation Of Electric Sports Vehicles

Porsche has introduced the E-Shift system that brings the feel of a classic gearbox to an electric car. The driver now feels clear “jerks” when changing gears, while the Porsche Electric Sport Sound creates a dynamic acoustic identity. On the GT sports steering wheel, some levers allow a choice between eight virtual gears. Each Taycan gets its own transmission mapping and unique sound character.

Manthey Kit – racing technology direct from the factory

For the first time, the Manthey Kit comes factory-fitted to an electric car.

The package includes improvements to aerodynamics, suspension and drivetrain. The result is a record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit – a time of 6:55.533 minutes in the category of electric luxury sedans. The Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach package becomes the closest electric counterpart to the classic GT models.

Efficiency and range

New summer tires with low rolling resistance extend the range by up to 20 km. Combined with Performance Battery Plus, the Taycan now achieves a WLTP range of up to 700 km. This makes the electric Porsche more suitable for longer journeys than ever before.

The digital revolution in the cabin

The infotainment system gets a new generation – Porsche Digital Interaction. A faster processor, a minimalist design and a 3D model of the vehicle in body color make driving intuitive. Widgets provide quick access to features, while the Themes app personalizes ambient lighting and screen colors.

The integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is now deeper, and navigation uses accurate online route calculation and a 3D display of buildings. Voice Pilot with AI support enables natural conversation and opening functions with voice commands – even the charging lid.
