Range Rover Sport Electric Showcases Capability At Goodwood Festival Of Speed Ahead Of Launch
Upcoming Range Rover Sport Electric showcases capability at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed ahead of launch later this year.
When it arrives, the battery-powered Range Rover Sport SUV will join the model’s existing powertrain lineup.
These includes plug-in electric hybrid, mild-hybrid V8 petrol, and six-cylinder petrol and diesel options.
Prototypes of the upcoming 2027 Range Rover Sport Electric were officially previewed at an exclusive event during the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, ahead of its world premiere later this year to redefine the luxury electric SUV segment.
In a nod to its pioneering legacy—like the famous 999‑step ascent at China’s Heaven’s Gate—the Range Rover Sport Electric tackled a series of intense driven challenges on the Goodwood Motor Circuit to showcase its capability.

Featuring a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, a luxury cabin, cutting-edge technology, and near-silent electric performance, the Range Rover Sport Electric is set to become the brand’s second all-electric SUV, following the much-anticipated flagship Range Rover Electric.
When it arrives later this year, the pure-electric Range Rover Sport will join the model’s existing powertrain lineup, which includes plug-in electric hybrid, mild-hybrid V8 petrol, and six-cylinder petrol and diesel options.
Like the other Ice-powered models, the British luxury marque said the new Range Rover Sport Electric has “been calibrated to deliver the same thrilling, engaging drive that defines the sportiest expression of the brand.”
