“S-Class of SUVs” : All-new 2027 Mercedes-Benz GLS gets new grille and new range of engines.


Mercedes-Benz has given its biggest SUV, the flagship GLS, the much-needed refresh, including a new grille with distinctive chrome frame, a first-class driver assistance and new range of engines.
Dubbed as the “S‑Class of SUVs”, the 2nd-generation of the Mercedes-Benz flagship SUV is available in GLS 450 4MATIC, the range-topping GLS 580 4MATIC and two six-cylinder diesel models – the GLS 350d 4MATIC and the GLS 450d 4MATIC.


Highlight on the exterior includes the latest-gen Digital Light Headlamps, a new grille with distinctive chrome frame and contour lighting and a standing Mercedes-Benz star hood ornament that can optionally illuminated.

Also available are two new paint finishes – Dark Petrol and MANUFAKTUR Patagonia Red Metallic as well as two new 21‑inch wheel designs and two new optional 22-inch AMG multi-spoke wheels.
Inside, the new MBUX Superscreen spans the width of the interior, uniting a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch passenger display and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, while rear passengers gets two brilliant 11.6‑inch HD displays.

Now available is the new optional Rear Seat Entertainment Package, which transforms every journey into a first-class experience – giving rear seat passengers intuitive access to comfort features and personalized entertainment.
Powering the GLS is an updated 3.0-liter inline-six with 350-hp fitted into the GLS 450 4MATIC while the range-topping GLS 580 4MATIC gets a V8 with 530-hp (from 510-hp) and 553 lb-ft (previously 538 lb-ft).


Both will reach 60 mph (100 km/h) from rest in 5.4 seconds and 4.6 seconds respectively, while their top-speed is electronically limited at 130 mph (209 km/h).
Stretching 205 inches in length and 77 inches in width, the GLS is the largest and most luxurious SUV from Mercedes-Benz – with its long 123.4-inch wheelbase 2.4 inches more than the GLE
