Students of Yabatech Builds First Solar Powered Car In Africa

The electrical department of Yabatech unveiled its first solar-powered vehicle to the public. The task was a difficult one for the students that took part in the project but it was worth it. Engr. Nosa Uwogbiren (supervisor) who with the students involved in the project presented it to the Minister of science and technology.
The Minister Dr. Christopher Ogbonnaya was taken for a ride on the vehicle at Eagles Square Abuja. During the exhibition, Dr. Ogbonnaya promised that he will support the school (Yabatech) to make the car better and conducive. The future of Nigeria is bright after all with all these innovations churning out from our University students. All the invited guests and officials were happy at what they experienced at the exhibition.
