Test Shows VW Golf Glass Is Stronger Than Tesla Cybertruck Glass (Video)

Tests from CarHax shows VW Golf glass is stronger than the unbreakable glass on the Tesla Cybertruck.

The VW Golf window was unaffected after being hit and smashed with 0.5kg metal ball and 1.25 kg hammer.

The window was finally smashed after being hit with a 4 kg hammer.

To make the new window indestructible, CarHax added armouring films.

The reinforced new window didn’t break after being hit repeatedly with a 4 kg hammer.

Last year, a demonstration intended to show the strength of the “unbreakable” windows on the Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck went wrong when a metal ball was thrown at them.

To see how hard a normal car glass is compared that of Tesla Cybertruck glass, YouTube page, CarHax, performed the same test with the windows of a VW Golf and the metal ball didn’t even break or scratch the glass.

In the video shared online, the rear window of a VW Golf was unaffected after a 0.5kg metal ball was thrown at it.

Same result was observed in the second test, when a 1.25 kg hammer was smashed on the window.

Finally, CarHax smashed the window with a 4 kg hammer and the normal window broke instantly.

After breaking the normal window on the Golf, CarHax decided to make the new window indestructible by adding armouring films.

To make the Armor Glass… CarHax added a 4 mm Safety film and a 1.5 mm film Hp Eldorado (both from Armolan) to the exterior and interior parts of the normal windows respectively.

And the result was awsome, as the reinforced window didn’t break after being hit repeatedly with a 4 kg hammer and a 0.5kg metal ball.

The hits from 0.5kg metal ball and the 4kg hammer didn’t even scratch the reinforced windows on the Volkswagen Golf.
