Today’s Motivation : I’m where i am today because of luck, says Tony Elumelu, the Group Chairman Of UBA.
Elumelu, known for his flamboyant lifestyle, not only chairs the UBA Group, but also Heirs Holdings and Transcorp.
His social media pages are filled pictures of his head-turning rides, including flagships from Mercedes, BMW and Range Rover.
Anthony (Tony) Onyemaechi Elumelu, the Group Chairman of United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA), has said that luck has brought him this far, adding that hard work and passion are two ingredients for luck.
While motivating his followers Via his Twitter page, the 59 year old Nigerian economist and philanthropist, said luck is part of the cocktail one needs to be successful.
“I am where I am today because of luck. Let me be clear : Luck is important, but it is not a substitute for hard work or labor. Luck is a part of the cocktail that you need for success.”
“There are two ingredients for luck -hard work and passion. The more work you put into something and the more passion you apply, the “luckier” you will find yourself. You have to work hard, and be passionate and committed about what you do, to be successful and make your own luck.
“Hardwork and passion are within your power and control, and you should apply them to earn your own luck and to help us foster a better and more prosperous world.”
Elumelu, known for his flamboyant lifestyle, not only chairs the UBA Group with financial assets were valued at ₦8.5 trillion (US$20.1 billion), but also Heirs Holdings and Transcorp.
His official social media pages are filled pictures of not only his beautiful family but also some of his head-turning luxury cars, including flagships from Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Range Rover.
