Throwback: Tony Elumelu Utilizing Israel’s Elite EE911 Armored VIP SUV Services

Tony Elumelu is undoubtedly one of Africa’s most prominent and stylish business leaders, despite the divided opinions that followed his recent clarification that he prefers “Mr. Elumelu”, “TOE”, or “Chairman” because he does not subscribe to “Oyinbo life” over African corporate respect.
Despite his status—including serving as the Group Chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA) for 12 years before retiring in August 2026—the Nigerian billionaire investor and philanthropist is also known for showcasing his flamboyant lifestyle on social media.

“I am where I am today because of luck. Let me be clear : Luck is important, but it is not a substitute for hard work or labor. Luck is a part of the cocktail that you need for success,” the chairman of Heirs Holdings once wrote while motivating his followers via his X (Twitter) page.

His social media pages are filled with pictures and videos of him posing with luxury cars, including some depicting him arriving for local and international programs in style in rides like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-Series, as well as his departure in waiting flagship luxury sedans.
Much like his global billionaire peers who spend fortunes protecting themselves from would-be attackers every year, Tony Elumelu also utilizes executive security firms during foreign engagements, including the Israel-based ‘EE911 Armored VIP SUV Transportation Services’.

In one of the pictures shared, the then 61-year-old Group Chairman of United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) was seen alighting from EE911’s armored Chevrolet Suburban SUV like the boss he is, walking with stylish confidence and authority.
EE911 has provided the most exclusive VIP service and transportation in Israel since 2007. According to the firm, its fleet of Chevrolet Suburban vehicles is armored to the B6+ level, which is the highest level of civilian protection allowed without special permits.
