Toyota Lowers The Price Of The C-HR Plug-In-Hybrid SUV

The current, second-generation Toyota C-HR is the first C-HR that you can also order as a plug-in hybrid. In that case, it combines the drivetrain of the new Prius PHEV with the high body of the ‘High Rider’. That is undoubtedly an attractive package for many, but you paid a lot for it. The C-HR Plug-in Hybrid initially had to cost at least €45,995 but is now available for a significant €3,500 less. For €42,495 you can get a dynamic version; the prices of the other versions can be found below. All prices are the same as those of the 190-hp High Power Hybrid without a plug. The most affordable variant is and remains, of course, the 140 HP 1.8 Hybrid, which is available for €37,295. The basic Active version is only available in combination with this engine. A Dynamic costs 40,495 with 140 hp, so from that level, the price difference with the plug-in hybrid is exactly €2,000.

Existing orders

No worries for those who have already ordered a C-HR PHEV: they will receive the car for the new price and will hear about this financial windfall through the dealer. Toyota hasn’t delivered any PHEVs yet, so the change can still be implemented without hurting existing customers.
