“American President Will Never Drive Made-in-Nigeria Car” : TV presenter Rufai Oseni slam Tinubu on purchase of Cadillac Escalade.

Since his inauguration, Tinubu has used a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, a Lexus LX 600 and a Cadillac Escalade 600.

The three Nigerian Presidential State Cars are made in Germany, Japan and the United States respectively.

Wondered why Tinubu cannot use locally-made products from indigenous car brands like Nord, Jet and Innoson.

Rufai Oseni, a TV presenter with Arise TV, has slammed the Presidency for purchasing American-made Cadillac Escalade 600 SUV as official car of President Bola Tinubu.

In a X post on his official handle, Rufai Oseni wondered why Tinubu cannot patronise locally-made products from indigenous car brands such as Lagos-based Nord and Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing.

“President Tinubu drives a Cadillac and in his country we’ve great Nigerians make cars like Nord, innoson and JET.

“No American president will ever drive a made in Nigeria car, so why does the Nigerian president drive a made in America car?”

“Dear president Tinubu, let’s support Nigeria auto makers, innoson, Nord, Jet and other Nigerian makers.”

Since his inauguration on May 29th 2023, Tinubu has used a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, a Lexus LX 600 and a Cadillac Escalade 600 as official vehicles – all three made in Germany, Japan and the US respectively.

Reacting to the X post, a user asked if Oseni himself owns a car from any of the indigenous car brands he stated to promote Nigerian brands.

“President Tinubu should go and drive Nord or Innoson? You that posted this,what type of car do you drive and why don’t you have Nord or Innoson car?”

Another user question the first user if Oseni purchased his car with tax payers money.

“Is @ruffydfire buying his car with our tax payers money?? Please you people should be objective for once. Nigerians are suffering for crying out loud”
