Updated 2027 BMW 7 Series Gets New Exterior Design, Neue Klasse-ed Interior Retains 31-inch Theatre Screen


BMW has pulled the covers off the new 2027 7 Series (G70) sedan. The facelifted flagship sedan represents the most extensive model update ever carried out by the BMW Group, with the biggest upgrade found in Neue Klasse-ed interior.
The exterior benefits from the new BMW Iconic Glow Kidney Grille and ultra-slim headlights with integrated diamond-cut glass elements at the front, a new side view with clear, reduced surfaces, while the rear end gains newly designed rear lights.


In addition, a 22-inch wheels are now available from the factory for the first time as an alternative to the 20-inch wheels fitted as standard.

Inside, highlights include the new steering wheels, new BMW Panoramic iDrive with BMW Passenger Screen and a panoramic glass sunroof, all three comes standard in the new luxury chauffeur-driven sedan.
Also available is the upgraded optional 31.3-inch Theatre Screen for rear-seat passengers. Designed for 8K streaming, gaming and video calls, the Theater Screen automatically glides down from the roof at the press of a button.


To reduce the chances of accident, extensive entertainment offering is also available on the Central Display in Free-Cut Design when the vehicle is stationary.
As with the model it replaces, the refreshed 7 Series lineup will be available with several powertrains, including six-cylinder in-line petrol (735 and 740) and diesel (engines, plug-in hybrids and three (3) i7 electric.


The three (3) i7s includes i7 50 xDrive with 455 hp, i7 60 xDrive with 544 hp and the range-topping i7 M70 xDrive with 680 hp – all powered by a 112.5-kWh battery with up to 591–728 km (367–452 miles) in the i7 60 xDrive. The i7 M70 xDrive model can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds.
All model and drive-system variants of the new 7 Series (G70) sedan, including the 7 Series Protection (G73), will be built on a single production line at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing, where BMW exclusively builds the flagship 4-door sedan. The start of production and worldwide market launch will from July 2026.
