Volvo EX30 Compact Electric Crossover Gets A Price Bump Across All Range
The Volvo EX30 will be several thousand euros more expensive. The prices of the electric crossover will increase by up to 5 percent. More specifically: the prices of the Volvo EX30 will increase by €1,000 to €2,000, depending on the version chosen.
Until recently, the cheapest Volvo EX30 cost €36,795. For that money, Volvo handed you the keys to the Volvo EX30 Single Motor in Core trim. This entry-level model is €1,700 more expensive and is now in the order books for €38,495. The EX30 Single Motor is also available as a Plus and that too is €1,700 more expensive. The Single Motor is the variant with a 272 hp electric motor at the rear and a 49 kWh (net) battery. That variant reaches a speed of 100 km/h from a standstill in 5.7 seconds and has a range of 337 kilometers to its name. DC charging is possible with 134 kW.
Does the Volvo EX30 Single Motor not meet your requirements? Then Volvo has two more engine versions on the menu. The EX30 Single Motor Extended Range has the same 272 hp electric motor as the entry-level model but combines it with a larger 64 kWh (net) battery pack. This variant zooms to 100 km/h a little faster (5.3 s) but above all, it scores a greater range: 476 kilometers. It can also fast-charge faster, with a maximum of 153 kW. In Core trim, it will be €2,000 more expensive than it was, which gives the Single Motor Extended Range a new starting price of €43,495. The Plus and Ultra versions will be €1,060 and €1,000 more expensive, respectively.
At the top of the status ladder is the EX30 Twin Motor Performance. This, in turn, has the same battery as the Single Motor Extended Range but is the only one in the EX30 range to have two electric motors. The front unit produces 156 hp and the motor that drives the rear wheels produces 272 hp. The system output is 428 hp and 543 Nm. That’s quite something. From a standstill, you can reach 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. The 64 kWh battery gives it a range of 450 kilometers. This engine version is €1,000 more expensive in both the Plus and Ultra versions, with the result that the Volvo EX30 Twin Motor Performance is now available from €50,995.
