Volvo EX90 Wins Luxury Car Of The Year Award
The all-electric Volvo EX90 has been named the most impressive new luxury car launched in the last 12 months, according to the expert jury of the World Car Awards.
This seven-seat family SUV won the title of World Luxury Car thanks to its comfortable and refined interior, advanced safety technology, Volvo, and distinctive Scandinavian design.
The results were announced ahead of the New York International Auto Show in Manhattan, and the EX90 shone at the top of the list. The jury, made up of 96 automotive journalists from 30 countries, had the opportunity to fully experience the EX90 during detailed test drives. In particular, they highlighted its powerful, almost silent performance thanks to its 510 horsepower powertrain with two electric motors, as well as its luxurious and ergonomically designed interior designed for comfort on long journeys.
“We are delighted that the EX90 has received the recognition it truly deserves,” said Håkan Samuelsson, CEO of Volvo Cars. “The competition was extremely strong, but this award shows that the EX90 successfully meets the expectations of even the most demanding customers around the world.”
With this title, Volvo Cars now has a total of three World Car Awards, including the overall World Car of the Year 2018 for the XC60, as well as the World Urban Car 2024 award for the EX30. Also in 2018, CEO Håkan Samuelsson was named the inaugural World Car Personality of the Year.
