VP Osinbajo Loses Police Escort Rider, Gomina, In A Motorcycle Accident
VP Osinbajo has aborted a scheduled trip after losing a Police escort rider, Ali Gomina, in a motorcycle road accident.

A police escort rider, attached to VP Yemi Osinbajo, on Friday, died in a motorcycle accident while on official duty.
The 45-year-old police escort, named Ali Gomina, was involved in an accident on the road to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
According to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity Laolu Akande; the accident occurred while the VP was on his way to a scheduled trip.
Akande noted that the VP, who was saddened by the death of the Inspector, had to abort the scheduled trip.
Describing the late Inspector, Osinbajo said the officer was “a diligent, hardworking and serious-minded officer, who will be greatly missed by the team”
Professor Osinbajo prayed that Almighty God should grant his soul to eternal rest.
The deseased is survived by his wife, children and relatives.

Last month, Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo marked one year of his survival from a helicopter crash with a thanksgiving service at the Aso Villa Chapel, Abuja.
Recall that on February 2, 2019, a AgustaWestland 139 Helicopter, conveying the Vice President and some of his aides crash-landed in Kabba area of Kogi.
All the 11 occupants of the crashed Helicopter, marked 5N-CML and with serial number: 31389, escaped unhurt.
