2027 Porsche Taycan gets fake gears, Electric Sport Sound, track-focussed Manthey Kit, 700-KM electric range.

Porsche has introduced numerous innovations across all 2027 Taycan models to enhance the driving experience of the marque’s best-selling, all-electric sports car.

The new model year introduces an emotively reinterpreted Porsche Electric Sport Sound and a larger Performance Battery Plus (105-kWh pack) for the Taycan, Taycan 4, and Taycan 4S variants, enabling a range of up to 435 miles (700 km) for the first time.

Another update is the new E-Shift system with virtual gear changes. This alternative to automatic mode allows drivers to use the paddles on the GT-sports steering wheel to shift between eight virtual gears.

The ‘E-Shift including GT-Sport steering wheel with paddles’ comes standard on the Taycan Turbo GT. It is also available for all electric Taycan variants, including the Sedan, Cross Turismo, and Sport Turismo body styles.

Available only for the top-of-the-range Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach Package is the Manthey Kit, which adds widened side skirts, a rear wing, special Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS track tyres, and updated suspension and powertrain tuning.

Inside, 2027 Porsche Taycan models gets a new generation of infotainment featuring a modern operating concept, enhanced smartphone integration, and voice control powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

“By introducing comprehensive innovations for the model year change, we are strengthening the Taycan in all relevant areas: the latest models offer more emotive driving experience and more intuitive and customizable operation,” says Kevin Giek, Head of the Taycan model line.

2027 model year Taycan is now available to order from all Porsche centres, with deliveries beginning in Fall of 2026. Pricing for the 2027 Taycan model range starts at $111,900 for the rear-wheel drive Taycan.
