NDLEA operatives arrest 2, intercepts motorized concrete mixer used to conceal 2000kg Cannabis.
The Mubi, Adamawa State-bound concrete mixer truck was loaded in Ondo State.
The two male suspect were arrested with the Cannabis at Girei in Girei LGA of the State.
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, on Thursday December 2nd intercepted a concrete mixer truck used to conceal 2000.6kg of cannabis, popularly known as ‘Igbo’.
In a statement, NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, disclosed that two suspects, Matthew Donuwe and Friday Nborgwu, were arrested in connection with the drugs.

Babafemi further explained that suspects claimed they have spent a month on the road from Ondo state, where the drugs was loaded, hoping to deliver the consignment in Mubi, Adamawa before they were arrested at Girei in Girei LGA of the State.
In a related news, operatives of NDLEA also intercepted 608.40kg of Cannabis sativa concealed in a black Toyota Sequoia in Oyo State. The SUV was reportedly parked around toll gate area, Ibadan-Ife expressway, Egbeda LGA, Ibadan on Friday 3rd Dec.
