Cargo Ship ‘Sun Rio’ Arrives At Russian Port With Thousands Of Frozen Japanese Cars (PHOTOS)
Cargo Ship Sun Rio arrives at a port in Vladivostok, in Russia with thousands of frozen used Japanese cars.
Employees of the “Green Corner” car market says it is quite common for vehicles to arrive in this state during winter.
When cargo ships arrives at these state, sailors breaks the ice before unloading cars from the frozen ship.
The sailors use everything from reagents and fire hydrants to scrap, and yes, some cars are damaged in the process.




An ice-covered dry cargo ship named Sun Rio owned by Duwon Shipping Co Ltd, has delivered a batch of frozen used foreign Japanese cars to a port in Vladivostok, in Russia.
The foreign used Japanese cars were covered with thick layers of ice, making it difficult to guess the brand of a car under this icy glaze. According to reports, the contents of the ship, which sailed in from South Korea, includes an Honda Fit and a Toyota Tank.

The captain of the ship, through Russian publication VL.RU, said :
“It’s December, the sea is rough and windy. Water splashes on board, it turns into a crust. Nothing wrong. Unless this year the winds are much stronger than usual. But sailors are no strangers. And this happened before, unloading, and nothing ”

Cargo ship, The SUN RIO is a Vehicles Carrier that was built in 1991 (30 years ago) and is sailing under the flag of Panama. Its carrying capacity is 2577 t DWT and her length overall (LOA) is 131.16 meters while her width is 20 meters.
