Floods Forces Audi To Scale Back A3 And Q2 Production In Germany
Audi is forced to scale back production of the A3 and Q2 due to disruptions caused by the floods in Germany.
Germany is currently being hit by major flooding due to prolonged heavy rainfall. This causes considerable problems in the state of Bavaria, which is in the in the south of the country. Audi has its headquarters there and is also indirectly affected by the floods. Automobilwoche reports that it is now forced to scale back production of the A3 and Q2 in Ingolstadt.
It is not that the water directly threatens the factory, but some of the staff are currently struggling to get to the factory because of the flooding. Two shifts per day have been cancelled.
