Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to launch Mobile App in september for licence and number plates check.

Says radar speed gun had already been deployed on the Lagos Third Mainland Bridge to catch vehicles overspeeding.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is set to launch a new mobile app in September 2024 designed for the verification of licences and plate numbers.

Elizabeth Jayeola, the Sector Public Education Officer of FRSC Lagos State Command, disclosed this on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Thursday.

She added that the mobile app performs functions for both the citizens and the road safety officials.

“There is the mobile app that is going to be launched in September 2024. It has functions for the citizens and for the FRSC.

“We are going to bring this to the mobile app, you can now check for licenses, number plates and all that,” said Jayeola.

The FRSC spokesperson also identified over speeding and aggressive driving among others as the major causes of accidents in Lagos.

“In Lagos speeding, distracted driving and aggressive driving are the major causes of road accidents,” she stated.





She also revealed that radar gun technology had already deployed on the newly renovated Lagos Third Mainland Bridge to catch vehicles over speeding.
