Here are the 9-step steps to help motorists register and apply for a tinted glass permit through NPF official portal.
Reactivation follows widespread public complaints about the harassment of motorists over the use of tinted windows.
Applicants can now process their permits online with identity verification integrated through the NIN and TIN.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has outlined the simple steps to register and apply for tinted glass permit via its digital portal at possap.gov.ng, following the reactivating of the issuance of Tinted Glass Permits (TGP) across the country.
According to the NPF, the reactivation of the permit system comes in response to widespread public complaints about the harassment of motorists over the use of tinted windows, especially the factory-fitted tinted ones.
NPF said applicants can now process their permits online with identity verification integrated through the National Identification Number (NIN) and Tax Identification Number (TIN), alongside biometric capture and background checks.
Below are the requirements and process for obtaining a tinted glass permit through the official portal of the NPF.
1. Visit out portal https://possap.gov.ng and sign up using your BVN, NIN, and TIN.
2. Fill the form by entering your correct information, then click on Create Account to proceed.
3. Enter the code sent to your email to very your account.
4. Enter your email address and password, then click on Login to proceed.
5. Click on Selected Services to select your preferred service —Tinted Glass Permit.
6. Fill in your vehicle details and upload the required supporting documents.
7. Confirm all details are correct, then submit the request.
8. Proceed to make payment.
9. Next, you will be schedule for vehicle inspection and biometric capture at your selected NPF Intelligence Department office to complete the application.
