Kia Unveils The Next-Generation Telluride Large SUV

Kia officially promoted the new generation of its large SUV model, Telluride, which will be sold in North America and which visitors to the Los Angeles Auto Show will be able to see later this month.
The current Telluride has established itself as Kia’s second-best-selling vehicle, as well as one of the best-selling three-row crossovers in America. While a lot has changed since the first generation was introduced in 2019, the years have not affected the model’s popularity.
Exterior
As expected, the Telluride now emphasizes its proportions even more, adding more sharply defined fenders, along with slim vertical LED headlights.
As part of the transformation, the SUV adopted a more aerodynamic body, angular accents, a thick rear pillar, and a new grille. Designers also created vertical lights that feature a pronounced C-shaped graphic.
The result is an all-new Telluride that’s bigger, bolder, and still proudly boxy. Now 58 mm longer overall, with a wheelbase extended by 75 mm and a height increase of 25 mm, it’s a confident evolution that stays true to its roots while embracing a more modern look.
Guided by Kia’s global design philosophy of “Opposites United,” the Telluride combines strength with elegance, toughness with sophistication, and innovation with restraint.
The Telluride X-Pro embraces a darker, more dominant character. Staying true to the design language of Kia’s X-series, these variants feature blacked-out wheel arches, wing mirrors, sideline detailing, and D-pillars, while roof rails enhance the adventurous profile. Up front, a bold honeycomb grille is paired with a black lower bumper, delivering a look that feels both tactical and aggressive. The X-Pro goes beyond aesthetics with off-road tires and 231 mm of ground clearance. And for those times when form truly meets function, the X-Pro adds standard front and rear tow hooks, a subtle detail that speaks to its readiness for whatever lies ahead.
Further defining the Telluride’s bold identity are wheels (available in 18-, 20-, and 21-inch sizes) with contrasting finishes and D-shaped patterns that create a balance of sophistication and strength.

Interior
Inside, design becomes an experience. Inspired by a vision of a never-ending sanctuary, where urban living meets the natural world, the cabin invites passengers into a space that feels both spacious and intimate. A broad, horizontal layout conveys a sense of grandeur, while a bold, enveloping design provides a sense of closure. Real metal accents emphasize precision and breadth, while sturdy grab handles signal rugged intent.
Subtle lighting beneath the centre console casts a soft glow that enhances the peace and the premium feel of the cabin, alongside two 12.3-inch screens. In the rear, the passenger console transforms into a functional table, while the headrests in the first and second rows combine a modern look with everyday comfort. Even practicality is redefined, with a reconfigurable cargo area that includes a fold-down table.
Thanks to its increased overall length and height, the Kia Telluride offers improved interior packaging with enhanced access for easier entry and exit to the second and third rows. The larger dimensions also contribute to increased headroom, enhancing comfort without compromising the Telluride’s bold proportions.
Defined by a majestic yet understated elegance, the cabin draws inspiration from the world of luxury interiors, featuring rich hues and tactile details. Colour combinations like Deep Navy and Tuscan Umber create a bold duality, while the all-new Blackberry and Sand Beige provide a surprising harmony that is sophisticated and bold.
In the X model, the interior colour palette becomes more earthy with all-black, khaki, or brown tones that feel both rugged and sophisticated. Texture plays a key role, with the seating surfaces detailed with a variety of embossed lines, diagonal trims, and V-shaped motifs that add depth.
The same attention to colour and finish extends to the exterior, where new colour options such as Black Jade, Green, and Terrain Brown (available in gloss and matte finishes) join a wider palette of ten colours. Each shade exudes confidence and versatility.
Under the hood, there will be a 3.5-liter V6 engine that develops 291 hp and 352 Nm of torque. We can also expect a Telluride Hybrid, with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine.
