Peugeot Plans 6 New Models And A Shooting Brake

Peugeot unveils important plans, including a special newcomer: the shooting brake that Peugeot recently showed in China is also coming our way.
There is a lot of Stellantis news today, as the mega-corporation unveils numerous plans. Peugeot also gets a moment during the presentation, and CEO Alan Favey shows an important slide. It illustrates how Peugeot will expand over the coming years (through 2030). To start with, we get a glimpse of one of the newcomers. Or rather, the concept car that previews it. This concerns the distinctive shooting brake that was recently on display at the Beijing Motor Show. The production version of this is being developed by Peugeot together with the Chinese company Dongfeng and will soon be coming our way as well. This could possibly become our new 508, although the name of the concept model seemed to suggest 608.
Peugeot will also launch various models in the coming years based on the new modular STLA One platform. Three of these are ‘multi-energy’ models in the C-segment, supplementing or eventually replacing the 3008 and 408. This involves one SUV and two ‘lower’ models. Consequently, these will be launched both as electric vehicles and with an internal combustion engine. Exactly how this will work technically is still unclear. However, Stellantis has already promised 800V technology for the EVs based on this platform. In the segment below, there are two more models in the pipeline based on the STLA One. These are likely the new 208 and 2008.
