Bebex Global Company Ltd has completed the restoration of a 2024 Mercedes-AMG G63, which suffered severe front-end damage after colliding with a barrier wall at the Eko Hotel roundabout in Victoria Island, Lagos State.

Following last month’s crash, the Lagos-based repair shop, which specializes in repairing and upgrading accident-damaged Mercedes-Benz vehicles, promised to restore the G63 SUV at its Ladipo Market workshop.

While sharing details of the repairs done to the G63 on the company’s Instagram page, the CEO of Bebex explained that the crash damaged several components—including the bumper, shock absorber, lower arm, and engine hanger—all of which were replaced with new parts.

Upgrades to the cabin include a new steering wheel and replacement airbags, including both the front and roof head-curtain airbags—the latter deploys downward from the upper roof rail during severe side-impact collisions.

Since Bebex made no mention of the engine, the SUV still uses the AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine which produces 577–585 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque and enables 0 to 60 mph in about 5.3 seconds.

Bebex was silent on the cost to restore the heavily damaged Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV, but Autojosh estimates the repairs will reach tens of millions of Naira.

Concluding the short video, Bebex’s CEO test-drove the fully restored 2024 Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV to evaluate its performance before delivering it to the owner.
