Buyers Of Ferrari Vehicles To Wait Till 2028 Before Getting Their Order
Ferrari has diversified into SUVs and EVs with the Purosangue and Luce. Despite a slight dip in shipments, demand remains strong, with orders currently booked through 2027.
Despite a 3.7% year-over-year decline in shipments to 3,366 units during the second quarter, overall demand for Ferrari remains robust. Notably, the company’s operating profit (EBIT) increased by 9.5% to €605 million—approximately $697 million—driven primarily by a favorable product mix and higher-than-anticipated demand for vehicle personalization.
In the second quarter of 2026, the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) comprised 55% of total shipments. The Americas followed with 23%, while the Asia-Pacific region accounted for 16%, and Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan represented the remaining 6%.
Ferrari is phasing out the 296 GTS, Roma Spider, and SF90 XX series in favor of the new Amalfi, 296 Speciale models, and the 849 Testarossa. While the brand’s order book is full through 2027, its first EV, the Luce, successfully hit its 2026 sales targets despite mixed design reception.
With orders booked through 2027, new Ferrari deliveries now extend into 2028. Recent releases include the Amalfi Spider, the Luce, and the 12Cilindri Manuale, which features a 6-speed manual-by-wire system. Ferrari is also refining its 2030 powertrain strategy to target a mix of 40% combustion, 40% hybrid, and 20% electric vehicles, aligning with broader industry shifts toward hybrid alternatives.
