FG To Shut Down Third Mainland Bridge For Repairs

According to the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Mr. Adedamola Kuti, plans are ongoing to shutdown the Third Mainland bridge for repairs.
Mr, Kuti, in a statement, said the Federal Ministry of Works would hold a meeting with stakeholders today in Lagos to discuss how to manage traffic during the repairs.
Although, Mr. Kuti didn’t specify the exact date for the bridge to be closed but he said the bridge may be shut on July 29, 2019.
Today’s meeting will determine the date for closure and it will involve stakeholders such as traffic regulatory agencies, transport unions, truck owners and drivers’ unions, law enforcement agents, among others.
