Buhari Meets Vladimir Putin, Signs Deal To Supply 12 Mi-35 Attack Helicopters To Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vladimir Putin held bilateral talks during the Russia-Africa summit this week; Signs deal to supply 12 Mi-35 Attack Helicopters to Nigeria.
The government of Nigeria has signed a contract with Russia for the supply of 12 Mi-35 Attack helicopters gunships.
The deal was signed during the Russia-Africa summit as Russia welcomed Head of States from all African countries to the southern Russian city of Sochi this week.

A senior official at Russia’s Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation confirmed the deal between the two countries.
“The contract has been signed – 12 helicopters, the contract is underway,”
The two countries also signed a deal to revival of our refineries and a restart of the decaying Ajaokuta steel company.
About The Mi-35M Attack Helicopters
The 8-passenger Mi-35M attack helicopter, nicknamed the “flying tank”, is an export version of Mil Mi-24V large attack helicopter.
The Mi-35 “flying tanks” are Russia’s answer to Boeing’s Apache large helicopter gunship. Over 918 of them are in service with nearly five dozen militaries around the world.
