City Officials Are Requesting Unsold Tesla Cybertrucks Be Removed

Published

It is clear that the Tesla Cybertruck has been a significant sales disappointment. A considerable number of manufactured but unsold pickups are currently sitting in a large lot at a rundown shopping center in Farmington Hills, near Detroit. Local officials are rightfully outraged by this unsightly accumulation of vehicles.

Dozens of Cybertrucks and some other Tesla models are currently occupying several rows of parking spaces at Hunter’s Square Mall, Crain’s Detroit Business reports. Next to the parking lot is the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant, which is still open. Using the land for vehicle storage is against city law. The lessor of the shopping center has already been notified of the violation, and the removal of the vehicle is requested.

Tesla is attempting to enhance the Cybertruck’s appeal by reducing prices. In April, the entry-level rear-wheel-drive model was finally launched at $69,990, with discounts available for buyers of other models.
