Former Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, shows off his vintage 1971 Mercedes-Benz E-Class with customized Plate, “Ike Obosi”
“Ike Obosi” (Strength of Obosi) is a tribute to the traditional title conferred on him in Anambra State in May, 2009.
The title was conferred on him in recognition of his enormous contributions to national and community development.
Osita Benjamin Chidoka, a former Corps Marshal and Chief Executive of Federal Road Safety Corps during President Olusegun Obasanjo administration has shown off his iconic Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
Osita Chidoka’s 50 year old 1971 vintage E-Class (W114/W115) is a mid-sized luxury saloon model positioned below the flagship Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
The E-Class wears a customized plate “Ike Obosi” — which means “Strength of Obosi” — a tribute to the traditional title conferred on him in Anambra State in May, 2009, in recognition of his enormous contributions to national and community development.
The pictures of 50 year old Osita posing with his 1971 Mercedes-Benz E-Class were captioned with :
“With my age mate, a 1971 Mercedes Benz appropriately numbered, Ike Obosi”
After performing a good job as a FRSC boss, where he transformed the agency from an almost comatose organisation to a model for other road safety organisations across Africa, Osita also got an appointment during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, where he served as Minister of Aviation.
