Used Vehicles Import, Bulk Cargoes Helps Tincan Island Customs To Generate Over ₦1.5 Trillion In 2025

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Tincan Island Port Command, has announced it collected ₦1.569 trillion in revenue for the year 2025, surpassing its target of ₦1.5 trillion by ₦55.83 billion.
The Customs Area Controller (CAC), Comptroller Frank Onyeka, made the announcement during a press briefing at the command on Tuesday, 23 December 2025.
Comptroller Onyeka described the achievement as a milestone that reflects discipline, professionalism, and collective commitment among officers and men of the Command.
“This growth did not only come by chance, but it is also the outcome of deliberate reforms, improved processes, and collective responsibility. Our major contributors remain bulk cargoes, general merchandise, and importation of used vehicles, which constitute a significant volume of trade passing through Tincan Island Port,” he said.
FG Hands Over Electric Bikes To FRSC To Strengthen Road Safety Enforcement, Intelligence Gathering

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has handed over new fleet of operational electric motorcycles to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to strengthen their road safety enforcement, intelligence gathering and crime prevention nationwide.
Speaking at the commissioning, which was held at the Corps Headquarters on Tuesday 23rd December 2025, the SGF described the initiative as a “game-changer” in proactive traffic management and security response, noting that it reflects the unusual support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Corps.
Also at the event, the Corps Marshal of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, described the intervention as timely and strategic, noting that it reflects the unusual support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to the Corps.
“He stated that the provision of the Electric Motor Bikes amplifies the evolving role of the FRSC within Nigeria’s national security architecture, beyond traffic management to intelligence support and emergency response.”
Katsina State Governor Spotted With His Armored BMW 7 Series Worth ₦600m, Featuring 31-Inch Rear Screen

Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, recently turned up for a wedding ceremony in his brand new armored BMW 7 Series (G70 model) worth over ₦600 million, drawing significant public attention on social media.
In a post sighted by Autojosh, an X user, fatimaaaa K criticizes the Governor for the lavish spending amid economic crisis, stating that :
“This car costs ₦600 million. It was purchased by the Governor of Katsina at a time when the state is struggling with severe hunger, especially among young children. At the same time, bandits are imposing taxes on villagers in Malumfashi. Ina tausayi a nan?”
Reacting to fatimaaaa K’s post, Abuja-based car dealer, Aliyu Mohammed, popularly known as Sarkin, noted that the armored BMW 7 Series was gifted to Katsina State Governor, adding that he has the exact spec (likely unarmored) for sale for ₦300m.
“I have this exact spec and color going for 300M brand new and he didn’t buy it, he was gifted,” Sarkin wrote in an X post.
