Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) apprehends road infrastructure vandal on 3rd Mainland Bridge.

Vandal caught while tampering with the newly installed infrastructure designed to provide maximum visibility at nights.

The in-road warning lights are self-illuminating in dim areas or night time, which helps to enhance driver visibility.

46 year old suspect was later handed over to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos Command, Mr. Adegoke Fayoade.

Officers of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) on Tuesday May 7th apprehended a vandal for damaging the newly installed road light indicators on the 3rd Mainland Bridge.

The suspect, one 46 year old Mr. Friday Nwafor, was caught around 8:00 am while tampering with the newly installed road infrastructure designed to provide maximum visibility at nights.

“The incident occurred early this morning at exactly 8:00am when the LNSC officers were on patrol to Lagos Mainland inward Oworo and it’s environ that they noticed the suspect tampering with and damaging the road light indicators,” LNSC said in a statement.

“The suspect was identified as Mr. Friday Nwafor a 46-year-old male resident of Lagos who was immediately taken into our custody and handed over to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos Command Mr. Adegoke Fayoade.”

Reacting to the news, the General Manager of LNSC, Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan, commended the agency’s officers for apprehending the suspect and preventing further damage to our neighbourhood’s infrastructure.

The in-road warning lights are self-illuminating in dim areas or during night time, which helps to enhance driver visibility.

Ifalade Oyekan also urge all Lagos State residents to report any suspicious activities they witness within the neighbourhood to the LNSC.
