Lexus ES Gets Updated For The 2025 Model Year
The current generation of the Lexus ES was introduced in 2018, and three years later, it received a facelift. The company is not yet planning to launch a completely new generation, so it showcased its improved edition at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China.
The venue for the promotion was not chosen by chance, as the ES is a big deal locally, with more than a million units sold to date.
Although it’s just another facelift, there are still plenty of new things. The grille features a new RX-inspired pattern, while new matrix LED headlights sharpen the front end with their dual L-shaped motif. At the rear, a light bar is incorporated, and the L graphic is also incorporated into the updated taillights.
As for the cabin, the revised ES for China gets a 14.0-inch touchscreen, the centre console has fewer physical buttons, and the revised gear lever is “more in line with the usage habits of young Chinese buyers.”
Customers can order this sedan with a Snowy Night White interior theme or a two-tone Tanzanite Snow Night. The interior trim is rounded off by Silver Lance Moon Ridge detailing.
Lexus’ decision to once again revise the current ES suggests that the car will be around for a few more years before the eighth generation arrives. When the time comes, the new ES is expected to borrow heavily from the Toyota Camry.
