Mercedes-Benz Breaks Cover Of The CLE 53 AMG Coupe And Its An Inline-6 Mild-Hybrid

The first AMG version of the Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupé is called CLE 53 4Matic and, with 449 hp and 560 Nm, is currently the variant with the most powerful engine. That almost 450 hp comes from a mild-hybrid 3.0 inline-six with two turbos. Like other mild-hybrid Mercedes engines, the CLE 53 4Matic has an integrated starter alternator that briefly adds 23 hp and 205 Nm. You shift gears via an AMG Speedshift transmission with nine gears. The box then distributes the power to all four wheels. After all, 4Matic is in the model name for a reason.

The CLE 53 comes with 19-inch wheels as standard; 20-inch wheels are optional.
