Mercedes-Benz Center Nigeria Officially Launches GLB SUV

The Mercedes-Benz GLB has been on sale for almost a year but we now have a Nigerian model which was unveiled last week. The SUV has been tagged as a mini G-Wagon in terms of offroad ability and a more practical GLA due to its 7-seat configuration. The model is fully tropicalized to meet Nigeria’s weather and road conditions so it’s a safe bet to buy at the dealer.

Mercedes-Benz Nigeria showcased the GLB 250 4matic which may be the only model available for the country. The GLB 250 4matic is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo 4-cylinder engine. It outputs 221 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque and does 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. An 8-speed dual-clutch transmission is fitted coupled with a standard all-wheel-drive system that acts as a 4wd.

On the interior, the GLB features the latest MBUX system with a dual 7-inch screen. The dual screens serve for both the instrument cluster and media display. The selling point of this SUV is the 3rd-row seating configuration. Although not the most comfortable but it’s suitable for kids. In comparison to other Mercedes-Benz SUVs, the GLB has the family in mind as it drives all passengers in”Mercedes” style. On the safety, there’s no compromise as it’s loaded with the best tech out there.

We won’t dabble more on the GLB as we did a full review last year. You can check that below.
