Hongqi Guoli (formerly known as L5), China’s most expensive ultra-luxury car worth N2.5 billion, spotted in oil-rich Delta State, Nigeria.

Priced from 7,180,000 RMB (US$1m) in China, Guoli will cost about N2.5 billion to own in Nigeria, including shipping and clearing cost.

Dubbed as the “Rolls-Royce of China”, its main rival in the Chinese market are Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, Rolls-Royce Phantom 8 and the Bentley Mulsanne.

Stretched as much as the Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended, Guoli offers limousine-like legroom for rear-seat passengers.

Boasts giant vertical waterfall-style grille and a round headlights inspired by the Chinese cultural tradition of “the sky is round and the earth is square”.

Before its availability in markets outside China, the Guoli, then known as the L5, was aimed at Chinese billionaire businessmen and super stars. President Tinubu was chauffeured in the retro-style Hongqi limousine during his visit to China.
