Vladimir Putin invited North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to check out his Russian-made Presidential Aurus Senat L700 limousine on Wednesday ahead of their meeting at the Vostochny Cosmodrome spaceport in Far East Russia.
Kim Jong Un joined a number of Heads of State, including Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and UAE’s Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, whom Putin has shown models from the Russian-made luxury vehicle brand Aurus to.
After Kim examined the Presidential State car from the outside, Putin invited the North Korean leader to join him at the first-class rear passenger seat of the Aurus Senat L700 dubbed the Russian Rolls-Royce.
“Putin showed his private car to Kim Jong Un before having a warm talk”, North Korea’s KCNA news agency said on Thursday.
President Putin first drove the Russian-made Aurus Senat L700 limousine during his inauguration ceremony on May 7, 2018. The L700 replaces his highly favored German-made official car, the Mercedes-Benz S 600 Pullman Guard.

Powered by a 598 horsepower 4.4-liter hybrid V-8 engine, Putin’s Aurus Senat reportedly has the ability to comfortably keep the President and other occupants safe when fully submerged in water.
Kim Jong Un himself arrived at the meeting with Putin in Russia in his personal Maybach 62 S limousine. Kim’s Maybach, which features a toilet, was brought to Russia in one of the carriages of his armored luxury train.
