Tesla To Hire Another Set Of 1000 Employees In Its German Factory

Tesla plans to hire another thousand employees for its large factory in Grünheide, Germany, near Berlin. These additional employees are on top of the workforce expansion of a thousand employees that Tesla announced in April.
With those 2,000 additional employees, the total workforce at the Gigafactory in Grünheide grows to 12,700 people. According to Tesla, this is necessary to meet the growing demand for its Model Y in Europe. Production is also being ramped up for this end. Starting in October, it is set to rise by 20 percent to 7,500 vehicles per week.
The megafactory in the eastern state of Brandenburg was officially opened four years ago and is fully focused on the European market. It is Tesla’s only factory in Europe.
