Young Nigerian Billionaire, Igho Sanomi, Loses His Private Jet To Creditor
Billionaire oil mogul, Igho Sanomi, has lost his private jet to Credit Suisse Group AG.
Sanomi is alleged to be forfeited the aircraft to the Swiss Bank over a $3m debt.
It is also reported that he is set to lose his three apartments in London.
According to Credit Suisse’s lawyer, Andrew Brown, Sanomi stood as a guarantor for a credit facility extended to one of his companies,
Three properties owned by Sanomi, including apartments in Chelsea, west London, and Belgravia, in the heart of London’s diplomatic quarter, have already been identified as assets that may have to be forfeited if he loses in court.
Aside from Credit Suisse, another lending institution targeting Sanomi’s asset is Banque Cantonale de Geneva. They have already made a freezing order against the London properties.
According to a separate court document filed in October, ING Groep NV is also suing Sanomi for his company, Taleveras’s unpaid debts.
Born on 17 May 1975, Igho Sanomi is a Nigerian businessman, geologist, public speaker and philanthropist with business interests in oil, telecommunications, the maritime industry, aviation and real estate.
