2021 Nissan X-Trail/Rogue Breaks Cover With Massive Improvements (Photos)

Some days ago (Saturday to be precise), we gave you a sneak peek of the 2021 Nissan Xtrail, and now it has been officially unveiled. To our surprise, most of the details we pointed out turned out to be true. This time around we’ll delve to more about what makes this latest model thick. Before we begin, be informed that the X-Trail and Rogue are the same SUVs just that the Rogue nameplate is used for the US market.
Looks
We are already familiar with the looks because of the sneak peek and the final model still looks the same. As expected it comes with a more characterful, less bland exterior that sports a double V-Motion grille flanked by split headlights, a “floating” roof that can be had in a contrasting black shade, and door-mounted mirrors. Another twist is the fact that the 2021 Nissan X-Trail is more compact than before but it doesn’t compromise on interior space. The overall design is stylish and modern in all ramifications.

Interior
The interior has a major improvement as the first thing that greets you is the standard 8-inch infotainment screen. Although a higher-res 9-inch display is available as an optional extra they feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The built-in Sat-Navi system is available in the higher trim level. The entire interior is roomier than before and this is because the 3rd-row seats are finally taken off make passengers at the rear more comfortable. A new ProPilot Assist feature has been fitted to the 2021 Nissan X-Trail. This feature comes with a longer-range radar and wider field-of-view camera. It can also detect pedestrians and improve the car’s on-centre feel thanks to its updated lane-following assist function.

Engine And Performance
As expected, the 2021 X-Trail comes in a 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder engine that outputs 181 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. It is mated with a CVT transmission and available in either front or all-wheel-drive. Nissan claims that the new SUV will drive and handle better than the outgoing model. The steering ratio has been quickened and the rear multi-link suspension has been improved.
