Bentley Launches Ultra Luxury Mulliner Continental GT Coupe (Photos)
When you hear Mulliner in the Bentley lineup you know that it’s a luxury variant. Now the Continental GT Coupe has joined the fray of the Mulliner variant and it’s more luxurious. The Convertible model had the treatment way back in February so it’s obvious that the coupe should also get the treatment. Let’s dive to see what makes the Mulliner Continental GT Coupe “ultra-luxurious”.
To distinguish it from the regular model, Mulliner fitted a new Double Diamond matrix grille with matching front fender vents. Also added Satin Silver mirror caps and illuminated outer door sills with Mulliner badging. Unique 22-inch wheels with self-levelling Bentley badges round off the exterior enhancements. If you are not impressed with that then the interior will shock you.

The entire dashboard is where the real man-hours went. Diamond-in-diamond quilting adorns the seats, doors trims and rear quarter panels, with contrast and accent stitching running through the diamond’s design. Fitting the quilt alone requires almost 400,000 stitches- 712 for each individual diamond alone. The entire embroidering process took 18 months (according to Bentley). The centre console features a diamond-milled finish, flanked by Grand Black walnut veneer with chrome overlays. Other interior package includes a unique digital gauge cluster with rendered textures that make the virtual dials look like real metal. In addition, there’s also a distinctive Breitling clock in the centre of the console.
Under the hood, the 6.0-litre W12 626hp and 664 lb-ft of torque or 4.0-litre V8 542hp and 568 lb-ft remain unchanged. Both engines come in an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission with orders for the car starting from October. First deliveries planned for early next year.
