Honda Upgrades Its Ridgeline Pickup For 2021 With A Rugged Look (Photos)
The 2nd generation Ridgeline pickup truck was launched in 2017 and Honda has upgraded it for 2021 with a rugged look. This new facelifted will come with the latest Honda tech present in their latest lineup and it promises to be better than before. Like all facelifted cars, the Honda Ridgeline gets totally new sheet metal ahead of the A-pillar. Gone is the outgoing pickup’s sloping front end. It is replaced by a set of tougher-looking fenders and a higher hood that raises the front fascia quite a bit. An upright front grille and noticeable power bulge further help the new Ridgeline look more truck-like. Other changes at the front include a new crossbar finished in gloss black or chrome depending on trims a new, more aggressive front bumper with side vents that improve the truck’s aerodynamics. In addition, Honda upgraded the LED headlights which are more stylish than before. The rear bumper on the Ridgeline has been redesigned together with a new aggressive twin exhaust outlet. A new 18-inch wheels with less backspacing that increases the truck’s track width by 0.6 inches complete the exterior changes.
On the Ridgeline’s interior, Honda didn’t do much but the infotainment system has been upgraded. Honda also brought back the physical volume knob. Sport trim models also get new cloth seat inserts, while all trims have new contrast stitching on the seats. Sport, RTL, and RTL-E trims feature new dashboard, steering wheel, and centre console accents.
The Ridgeline’s engine remains the same as it uses a 3.5-litre V6 producing 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with the same 9-speed automatic transmission found in the Honda Passport and Honda Pilot. Front-wheel drive is standard while All-wheel-drive is optional.
