Suzuki Has Launched Another Small SUV In The Fronx And It Will Assembled In India

Suzuki is really going all out in the compact SUV market with the release of a smaller model to sit below the Brezza called Fronx. The all-new crossover shares its underpinnings with the Baleno hatchback.
Starting with the looks, the new Fronx gets a family design seen on Maruti’s new Grand Vitara. The front is characterized by a split headlamp design with the new three-dot LED daytime running lamps sitting at the base of the bonnet with the main headlamps positioned lower on the bumper. The prominent grille too is a design element borrowed from the larger Grand Vitara with the upper edge featuring chrome trimming and housing the Suzuki logo.
In terms of dimensions, the Fronx has a length of 3,995mm, a width of 1,765mm, and a height of 1,550mm. The wheelbase stands at 2,520mm. The side profile is highlighted by silver-colored roof rails, body-colored ORVMs (black in dual-color options), and geometric precision-cut alloy wheels. The rear section is highlighted by a split LED taillight, body-colored roof spoiler, sharkfin antenna, and large bumper with a prominent silver-colored skid plate. The compact SUV also offers a rear wiper with a washer.
Inside, the car gets a dashboard reminiscent of the new Baleno with a free-standing 9.0-inch touchscreen sitting atop the center console. Other features on offer include wireless phone charging, a heads-up display, connected vehicle tech, a 360-degree camera, up to 6 airbags, ESC, hill start assist, and more.
The Fronx SUV will be available in a 1.0-liter Boosterjet turbocharged petrol with 100 bhp of power and 143 Nm of torque and a 1.2-liter NA Petrol engine with 90 bhp of power and 113 Nm of torque. The former is available with a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional 5-speed auto, while the latter can be had with either a 5 manual or an optional 6-speed torque convert auto.
It will be assembled in India and will be available in Southeast Asia and Africa at a later date.
