Pagani Reveals Second Example Of $7.6 Million Huayra Codalunga
Italian sports car manufacturer, Pagani Automobili S.p.A. reveals second example of Huayra Codalunga hypercar.
It is second of only five planned examples of the limited-edition Huayra Codalunga.
All units of Huayra Codalunga already sold despite the starting price of €7 million (roughly $7.6 million).
Codalunga was inspired by the long-tail Le Mans racers of the 1960s and features extended, flowing bodywork.
Last year, Pagani unveiled a new special edition model called the Huayra Codalunga at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Codalunga, Italian for ‘longtail,’ was inspired by the long-tail Le Mans racers of the 1960s and features extended, flowing bodywork.
Created by Pagani Grandi Complicazioni, the division responsible for the creation of one-off and few-off cars, the Codalunga was made at the request of two long-standing Pagani customers who wanted a more streamlined design.
Now, the Italian sports car manufacturer has revealed the second of only five planned examples of the limited-edition Huayra Codalunga, with all units already sold despite the starting price of €7 million (roughly $7.6 million).
At 4,985 mm (196.26 inches), this Huayra Codalunga is 360 mm (14 inches) longer than the standard Huayra mid-engine sports car that stretches 4,625 mm (182.1 inches)
“We made the Huayra Codalunga longer and smoother, as if it had been caressed and moulded by the wind, to design lines that were even more elegant than the coupe,” Horacio Pagani said.
Like in the base Huayra, the Huayra Codalunga features a Fighter Jet-Inspired cabin. Its seats are finished in woven leather/nubuck upholstery, while the dashboard details are milled from a single block of aluminium.
The second unit of the Huayra Codalunga is powered by an Mercedes-AMG-sourced twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12, which churns 829-horsepower, allowing a 0-60 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 370 km/h (230 mph).
